Christina Hayman of AAA Northeas will give an educarional presentation on electric vehicles. The presentation provides an overview of EVs, past and present and how they've progressed; EV basics including the types of EVs, what makes them unique, charging and safety; information about charging, the types of charging and how to handle range anxiety; and finally information about buying an EV.
Christina is the Senior Manager of Government Affairs at AAA Northeast where she advocates on Beacon Hill for a myriad of traffic safety measures. Most recently, Christina has been working to pass a rear facing car seat bill that will enhance child passenger safety for the state’s youngest passengers. She is also advocating for legislation to expand the Slow Down Move Over law to include disabled vehicles on the roadside. Through her work at AAA, Christina is a member of the Massachusetts Traffic Safety Coalition and the Worcester County DA’s distracted driving working group. Across the Commonwealth, Christina speaks to a variety of groups about traffic safety, senior driving, electric vehicles, child passenger safety and other pertinent issues.
Christina began her career in Trenton, NJ where she was a contract lobbyist working with clients including the AAA Clubs of NJ, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Autism Speaks. Christina holds a Master’s in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
